Calico Ridge is a remote hideaway, but it is part of Sap Bush Hollow Farm. It is located just off our private 3 mile hiking trail, which meanders along the mountaintops and down through our valley floor, and along the banks of a babbling brook. The weather-proof canvas tent comes with a queen bunk bed, our signature wool bedding, a woodstove (yup. You can camp from early spring until mid-autumn), campfire ring & grill, super-comfortable picnic table, Adirondack chairs, and even a solar shower and camp loo. You’ll be able to park your car 0.4 miles from the site, and we’ll transport your gear for you.

Come for unparalleled views, wildlife, and to occasionally share some pasture with our grazing sheep. We’ll help you find the nearby waterfalls, swimming holes, hiking trails, music, farm-to-table restaurants, artisans, farm stands, as well as the local cidery, brewery, amazing potato vodka & a perfect latte.

This is a working wilderness. You might hear a tractor, log truck, timber harvest, or newly repaired engine being tested on the road below, along w/ birdsong, crickets, peepers & lots of owls. This campsite is located on one of the most beautiful spots on our property, and we’re excited to share it w/you in all its raw beauty, without having to pave it over or carve it up. Because we operate the farm with specially-trained dogs, we must ask that you leave all pets at home.
