Folks, Sap Bush Hollow is not generally open on weekends during the growing season, but as part of Schoharie County’s Family Farm Day, Sap Bush Hollow Farm will be open from 10am until 4pm this Saturday, Aug 17. We will have many of our products available for purchase, we will be on hand to talk to you personally about the way we live and why, and we will be offering two farm tours, one at 10am and another at 2 pm. Will be there in spirit… I imagine that herding people is at least twice as hard as herding sheep, cattle, pigs or chickens, so make sure you take a long soak with a bath fizzie Saturday night…!

Just wanted to say thank you for letting us come visit your farm, for the delicious almond cake, for your daughter’s ‘children’s tour’ and for checking my babe’s burn when seeking out your homemade salve. We also enjoyed talking with your father and my boy is still laughing at breakfast about your bird causing all the pigs to go ‘crazy’! My husband and I (also Binghamton alum), along with the 3 and 1 year old are trying to get by on just one income with dreams/ideas of unschooling/homesteading/community building dancing in our heads. Your reality gives us inspiration to make these dreams work.
