I did make 5 quarts of sauce from cooking down 7 quarts of Jersey ‘maters, and last night we had Bolognese for dinner! Never canned before and did not have the equipment, but a friend told me a simpler way to do it, and it was a success! I did invest in the water bath and tools so I look forward to next year to can tomato sauce, peaches and green beans! Who knows what else? Apple sauce? Yummm.
