My cousin and I used to play on/around/in (!!!) the haystacks on the grandparents’ farm all the time when we were kids. And we turned out mostly fine (no haystack injuries!). there’s a great view from up there.
That said, I have the same response when my kids are doing stuff I can’t/won’t do anymore. Gotta give ’em credit for their balance and agility, though.

I used to climb on everything when I was a kid. Actually I still do at 26. Hopefully when I have kids I’ll be able to keep up.
