Our grassfed farming practcies increase soil fertility and biodiversity and have been shown to have little to no carbon footprint.  All our packaging is also recyclable and reusable.  All food scraps generated through the cooking process are composted or fed to our pigs.

  Nearly all our ingredients are from our town.  We use only one food distributor, Regional Access, out of Ithaca, that focuses on NYS-grown and organic foods.  

 – Nourishes your family beyond what you can probably do at home

All of our soups and stews begin with our nutrient-dense bone broths, where our grassfed and pastured bones are first roasted, then simmered a minimum of 96 hours, maximizing the vitamins, minerals,  electrolytes and proteinaceous gelatin in every dish.  We use only butter, olive oil, and animal fats that we render ourselves from our own livestock –   No canola, soy, trans fats or cheap vegetable shortenings cross our threshold!  Our beans are all sprouted for four days before we cook them to remove any phytic acids that inhibit digestion, and our meals are all gluten-free naturally, because we use no fillers – Just meat, vegetables, broth and spices.  Folks who often experience digestive troubles with other take-out & restaurant foods find they can eat our meals and feel great.  Our prepared foods nourish and restore.  They don’t deplete.

  Each soup and stew we sell takes a minimum of five days to prepare.  We don’t take short cuts – from the flavor steps to make the best possible bases, to grassfed butters and home-rendered grassfed & pastured animal fats, to the dry rubs and marinades that go on the meat a full day before we cook it, to the flavor steps of searing and wood-firing.  We don’t need to add anything artificial, because we season with the most flavorful ingredient of all:  time.
