I don’t think Saoirse truly believed she could shear a sheep before this weekend. And while Ula & I (and eventually Bob) spent the entire time staring vacantly at Lake Champlain as we worked through Covid fevers, Saoirse rose to the challenge and completed the course. Happily, she was immune to Covid due to having already contracted it after a certain Irish pub crawl in Galway this summer….Of course, now she believes a pub crawl in Galway to be a medically necessary experience. 🙄.
In spite of my delirium, I had to capture this portrait of her….looking jut as beat-up as the sheep, but nonetheless victorious. In this moment, she is discussing how we don’t pay Gwen, our professional sheep shearer, nearly enough.
Here’s a shot of Saoirse in action:

Way to go, Saoirse! You are awesome! I’m so sorry your family is going through Covid. May your bout be as brief and light as possible.
